8th Annual Back-to-School Clothing Drive Date: Donations will be due to Family Service beginning in August and before the start of the new school year. Location: Family Service Association of Bucks County Address: Cornerstone Executive Services, 4 Cornerstone Dr., Langhorne, PA 19047 Contact Information: Stephanie Sides, 215-757-6916 ext. 214 Description of Event: FSA is looking for individuals and businesses who are interested in providing new clothes and school supplies for children of Bucks County. The Clothing Drive provides clothing and school supplies for clients of Family Service whose families cannot otherwise provide these items for their first day of school. The items donated make it possible for the children to return to school with a feeling of confidence and importance. New clothing, shoes, backpacks, school supplies and gift cards are needed. There are several ways you or your business can help including:
- Sponsoring one or several children and provide an outfit, backpack and school supplies for each
- Collect backpacks and/or school supplies and donate them to the Drive
- Volunteer to help fill backpacks with supplies to distribute to children

The presentation will cover past tropical storm events that have impacted the area, what we can expect for the rest of the 2008 hurricane season and the hidden dangers these storms bring to the area. The presentation is a partnership with the Bucks County Emergency Management and Middletown Township Emergency Management. All guest will be provided a free informational preparedness kit and will be eligible to win a free family preparedness supplies kit, CPR and First Aid Classes, and other great prizes. In this workshop we will discuss specific ways to help children manage their own behavior without our intervention. - How do I teach my child to respect me without using fear tactics?
- How do I set the stage to raise a child who thinks independently, feels self-confident and has self-control?

First Federal of Bucks County: George W. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship & Harold F. Students must be applying to BCCC with the intention of enrolling as full-time (minimum of 12 credits) freshman students. Applicants must document community service activities at the high school level and must be in good academic standing (a minimum grade point average of 2.0 which equals a “C” average) at their respective high school at the time of the application. Preference is given to students of customers and/or employees of First Federal of Bucks County.
